  2023-12-07

NOXA, a member of the pro-apoptotic B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) family, plays a vital role in regulating mitochondrial or inherent apoptotic pathways [7,8]. NOXA binds to MCL-1 with high affinity and interacts with A1 (known as BCL2A1), resulting in BIM release to trigger subsequent apoptosis [9]. In

As previously mentioned when hypoxia-treated cells become re-oxygenated they sustain a significant amount of DNA damage which has been attributed to the formation of reactive oxygen species . This finding represents more than just an interesting in vitro phenomenon as within a tumor, cells have been

  2023-12-06

Our in vitro data show that CyaA does not play a critical role in the bacterial adherence to mammalian cells. This observation is in contrast to previous studies that reported a role for CyaA in FHA-mediated adherence of B. pertussis bacteria to the respiratory epithelial D-NMAPPD [37,38]. This disc

The ARHL locus (ahl) that contributes to the hearing loss in the C57BL/6J mouse has been mapped to chromosome 10 (Erway et al., 1993, Johnson et al., 1997). It has been shown that strains susceptible to early onset ARHL carry a specific mutation in the cadherin 23 gene (Cdh23), which encodes a compo
